Maine Continuing Education Requirements: 30 hours are required every two-year renewal period. The continuing education cycle begins on October 1 of each even‑numbered year and ends on September 30 of the next even‑numbered year on a continuing basis thereafter. All 30 hours must be in topics of Acupuncture or Oriental Medicine. Additionally, NCCAOM certification must be active at the time of renewal. Maine accepts all 30 hours in approved NCCAOM online continuing education courses. Licensee must attest completion on state board forms and are subject to audit.
