Massachusetts Acupuncture Continuing Education Requirements - Massachusetts Accepts ACEU Masters

Below are details about acupuncture continuing education and license renewal in Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Continuing Education Requirements: Licensed acupuncturists must complete 30 hours every two-year renewal period. As of 2025, 2 hours of the total of 30 hours must be on the subject of Ethics. At least 15 hours must be directly related to acupuncture for all licensees. For practitioners who are certified to employ herbs in their practice, 10 of the 30 hours must also be directly related to Herbology and 10 hours directly related to acupuncture. Massachusetts accepts qualifying NCCAOM-approved online continuing education courses toward these requirements. Licensees must attest completion on state board renewal forms and are subject to audit.
