About Chinese Medicine Board of Australia Requirements
License Renewal Requirements:
The Chinese Medicine Board recertification requirements are as follows:
- Complete at Least 20 Hours of Learning: Practitioners must do at least 20 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities every year. This includes learning about professional ethics and regulations for at least 4 hours. The learning can be through online courses provided by ACEU Masters. Those with a special qualification in herbs need to spend at least 2 hours on this topic.
- Record Keeping: When renewing registration by November 30th each year, practitioners must say they've met these CPD requirements. CPD records and certificates must be kept for five years in case of an audit.
Every ACEU Masters course is recognized for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits by the CMBA, which oversees the continuing education of Chinese medicine practitioners in Australia. The CMBA operates under the Australia Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the body tasked with enforcing national registration and accreditation standards for healthcare professionals in Australia.
